I hear you because I have been there. I have worked in law firms for more than 30 years, so I understand exactly what you are going through. 

You are a crucial component of getting the work done in your office. Although you may not bill hours or run the organization, you are an integral part of getting the work out the door.  You know the court rules for multiple jurisdictions and know how to file court documents in them. You ensure the documents are formatted correctly, and you are a master at proofreading. You may be assigned to 4-5 attorneys and are responsible for their calendars and keeping them organized. Every day is one thing after another, no time for a break. 

I am speaking directly to professional personnel. Not the owners, shareholders, or bosses, but the professional staff who work for them.
