I have been a legal administrator myself so I know your responsibilities and the pressures you are under. You have been given the enormous task of making sure the law firm runs smoothly at all times. There are many people in the firm to shuffle. You are responsible for the office space itself, making sure that everything is running smoothly. If you run a hybrid office, you need to make sure that the technology is working for everyone. You need to keep up with all employment laws and human resources practices. You might be in charge of hiring staff and making sure that the legal assistants are paired well with the lawyers they work with. There is always at least one lawyer who is difficult to work for and you need to bring peace to the relationship or worse yet, deal with the constant turnover. Then there are the emergencies.
