This might seem obvious, but turnover costs your company a great deal of money. It is probably more than you realize. The Society of Human Resources Management estimates that the cost of turnover for a professional's salary might actually cost three to four times the original salary when you also consider management's time interviewing and discussing each candidate, training costs, and bringing the new hire up to speed. If they do not stay their first year, the process starts all over again.
The employees who are left behind are not happy when their coworkers leave. They often need to take on extra assignments so that the work gets done. They might be left wondering why the employee left and consider it themselves. A revolving door is very stressful for the employees who have to take on extra work without additional compensation or recognition.
Your clients might be noticing there is high turnover at your firm and they are concerned. They might decide to join the employee who is leaving. You might also have a reputation in the community and highly talented people will avoid applying there. Studies show that employees are more likely to leave because of the company's culture, even more than size of their salary.
Creating a culture where your employees thrive takes time and effort, but will also prevent turnover, saving you money in the long run. Using proven methods of organization development, we will look at the entire structure and come up with a strategy together to create an organization where your employees want to work and succeed.
